Amy Campbell Wins Legal Marketing Association Award for Law Firm

BOSTON — Amy Campbell, principal of Infoworks!, has been selected first place winner of the 2003 Your Honor Award for Electronic Media by the Legal Marketing Association at its annual conference this week in San Francisco, California. Campbell was recognized for the monthly e-newsletter, Government & Regulatory Review, that she developed and manages for Concord, New Hampshire law firm Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell.

Entries were evaluated on the degree to which each met or exceeded its strategic objective, as well as creativity, originality, measurement and quality of execution. Your Honor Award judges gave Campbell’s submission “kudos for building solid metrics for evaluating effectiveness and for success in building a subscriber base. This product effectively positions the firm as an authority in the field.”

Campbell cites the winning e-newsletter as a great example of how professional services firms can build brand and engage customers and potential customers using “information of value.” “Everyone is trying to build trust,” says Campbell. “You can’t really do that with glossy brochures and fancy beach towels. One way you can augment trust is by creating an ‘informational relationship’ with clients and potential clients through consistent, accurate, useful information delivered through integrated channels such as web sites, e-newsletters, seminars, webinars, and print publications.”

She credits Donald Pfundstein, the law firm’s managing director in charge of marketing, with championing the firm’s commitment to creating quality content. “The e-newsletter is the delivery mechanism that packages the content to engage clients and drive them to the web site on a regular basis,” said Campbell. “Without relevant and timely content written by the firm’s attorneys and professionals, the e-newsletter could not continue to deliver interested readers to the web site.”
